Rating
At first I wanted to return it, because it made horrible static, I could not enjoy the songs! then I turned the thing off, both the base for the mp3 player, and the wireless receiver, and then turned it on, and miracle happened!!! The songs were played crystal clear and LOUD, as loud as I wanted. I also tested if will play when base is in another room, as well as
I took the receiver on the patio, it works both ways.( You do need the D batteries, four of them, for the receiver, which are not included). I would not take it to the shower as my previous reviewer suggested, but to enjoy the music with my family or frends on the summer day outside the house-yes! Great for thre price. THANK YOU, SHARPER IMAGE. By the way you can even play Sansa mp3 on this.

Rating
I bought this item a month ago and Amazon sent me a fog free shower mirror instead. Then I returned it for a replacement noting what happened and what they gave me instead. Then guess what? I got another fog free shower mirror! So I decided to finally just return it for a refund since Amazon doesn't know what they're doing.

Don't buy this item unless you want a Sharper Image Fog Free Shower Mirror Radio instead!

First, let me clear up possible confusion (at least I was initially confused upon reading it) b/c "Devin's" review about this being for the shower is clearly for another item and not intended for this mirrorless indoor/outdoor speaker. I bought this reviewless item anyway and thought I'd put my two cents in: I am using it with an iPhone. The sound on the speaker is not the greatest, so don't plan on blasting any music poolside; however, the sound is pretty good at your basic to "semi-loud" listening level. it is simple to set up and easy to transport. The wireless transmits from the kitchen into our basement and well into our back yard. Not sure how long batteries would last since I have not used it via battery, but the power cord is pretty short so I expect to need to use batteries eventually. Overall, it's a good speaker for the price.

well, it does what it says, it will play your music in the bathroom. however, the base will only charge batteries, it will not run off of batteries, so it always has to be plugged in. and the speakers get plenty loud, and sound relatively good, but when they get wet there is an obvious change in sound quality. The "mirror" is really cheap. it is in essence just a shiny sticker. Scratches easy and not easy to clean.
